Nicole is practicing Landscape Architecture and last year she designed and oversaw the construction of a local children's spray park.

"The budget was extremely tight, prompting me to apply to the city of Vancouver for funding to incorporate Community Public Art as a means of further animating the project.

The artwork consists of colorful tile mosaics applied to the faces of a low retaining wall incorporating 36 water jets, a custom bench, and a custom drinking fountain. The mosaic for the wall has been prefabricated."

"The original artwork was created by over 700 school children last spring using colorful bits of paper. I tried to piece all of the work together to form one abstract but cohesive picture.

I am attaching photos of the park to give you an idea of the setting."
